The Washington Economic Justice Alliance is working in partnership with state agencies to understand the cumulative impact of H.R. 1 – the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” – on Washingtonians.   

At a recent meeting of the Legislative-Executive WorkFirst & Poverty Reduction Oversight Task Force, representatives from the Department of Social & Health Services, Health Care Authority, Health Benefits Exchange, and State Board of Community & Technical Colleges discuss how the bill will affect the health and well-being of Washingtonians, including changes to food assistance, health insurance, higher education and Washington’s economy.  We are grateful to Amy Martinez, Jonathan Hemphill, Carla Reyes, Jason McGill, Sarah Peterson, Shirley Prasad and Jennifer Dellinger for their partnership and expertise!
