The Washington Economic Justice Alliance is just that, an alliance among many people, organizations, and entities working together to implement the 10-Year Plan to Dismantle Poverty.
No, while the Alliance is hosted by DSHS, it is a partnership between many lived experts, community organizations, tribes, businesses, and state agencies.
The 10-Year Plan to Dismantle Poverty is Washington State's Blueprint for a Just and Equitable Future. The plan outlines 8 Strategies and 60 policy recommendations designed to ensure Washingtonians have their foundational needs met and the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. The plan is informed by existing data and research, people experiencing poverty and organizations working on their behalf, and innovations happening in Washington state communities and throughout the country.
