MiA is working to dismantle poverty by addressing the intersection of gender-based
violence and economic injustice. Rooted in Latine community leadership, MIA
empowers survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy,
housing support, employment access, and systemic navigation. Their youth prevention
and policy advocacy programs disrupt cycles of violence and poverty, fostering
long-term stability.
MIA’s mission directly advances the Alliance’s strategies by:
Undoing Structural Racism & Inequality – Centering marginalized Latine voices in
advocacy and resource allocation.
Balancing Power – Amplifying survivor agency in policy and service design.
