Junior Achievement of Washington (JAWA) has been partnering with Washington schools and community-based organizations for more than 70 years, positively impacting youth ages 5-24 with transformative programs.
JAWA is dedicated to helping young people reach economic success. This mission is achieved through scalable classroom and experiential learning programs in financial literacy, career and work readiness, and entrepreneurship.
JAWA programs create a firm foundation for greater economic stability and independence for young people across Washington. Our robust set of age-appropriate curriculum is designed to complement classroom content, helping students connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom.
Financial literacy is key to economic mobility. It can break the cycle of poverty, support marginalized communities, and create equitable access to financial services. We believe that every student in Washington state should have access to financial and career readiness education and enter adulthood equipped with knowledge and tools for economic success.
